Contract Faculty position in Classics, Department of Modern Languages and Classics. One-year, full-time contract position available August 22, 2003, for the academic year with possibility of reappointment. Responsibilities: teaching in classics and related areas, including introductory and upper division courses; engaging in scholarly activity. Normal teaching load is 12 hours each semester. Competitive salary.
Minimum qualifications: A.B.D. in discipline; at least one year of teaching experience, particularly in Latin, Greek, or introductory classical civilization, mythology, or etymology; research promise expected. Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. in discipline; generalist; evidence of successful teaching.
