Baylor University, Department of Classics, invites applications for a one-year visiting lecturer in Classics, beginning August 1, 2012. Area of specialization is open. The Classics major at Baylor is philologically based, emphasizing a significant quantity of reading in the primary languages. Thus, serious applicants should have a demonstrable record of outstanding teaching in the languages and show strong scholarly potential. The successful candidate will be expected to participate vigorously in a large department's academic community by intellectually engaging students both in and out of the classroom.
