Baylor University invites applications for a joint position in the departments of History and Classics at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure track in History) beginning August 2007. The teaching assignment will be evenly divided between the two departments and will include instruction in ancient history and in Latin and Greek. The person appointed will be expected to engage both undergraduate and graduate students actively and intellectually in and out of the classroom. This person is expected to be involved energetically in both departments' academic communities. Applicants should be able to show evidence of outstanding teaching and strong scholarly potential, and are encouraged to familiarize themselves with Baylor's 2012 Vision.
