The Department of Archaeology at Boston University seeks a distinguished senior Classical Archaeologist to fill the James R. Wiseman Chair of Archaeology, an endowed professorship created at Boston University in honor of the founding chairman of the Department of Archaeology. The ideal candidate, who will be hired at the professor level with tenure effective September 1, 2009, will have substantial experience in field research and a commitment to excellence in teaching; areas of regional and other specialization open.
