The Department of Classical Studies at Boston University has been authorized to seek applications for a position in Roman History at the rank of tenure-track assistant or tenured associate professor, field(s) of specialization open, to begin in September 2001. Candidates will be expected to teach courses both in Roman History and in Latin at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates at the associate level must have an outstanding record in both scholarship and teaching; candidates at the rank of assistant professor must have the Ph.D. in hand by June 2001 and show accomplishment and promise in teaching and research appropriate to their experience.
