The Department of Classical Studies at Boston University seeks applications or nominations for a position in Ancient Greek at the rank of assistant professor, field(s) of specialization open. This is a tenure-track appointment to begin in September 2005 (pending final budgetary approval). Candidates should have Ph.D. in hand and must demonstrate exceptional potential or achievement as scholars and as teachers. Primary teaching responsibilities will include Greek language and literature at all levels and courses in translation dealing with ancient Greek civilization and culture. The department also welcomes candidates who are able to contribute to Boston University's Core Curriculum program. Selected candidates will be interviewed at the APA/AIA meetings in Boston in January 2005.
