The Classical Studies section of the Department of Romance Languages at Bowling Green State University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in Classical Studies. A generalist, Ph.D., is sought with an ability to teach three sections per semester of Latin, Greek, or Classical Civilization courses at all undergraduate levels. Scholarly productivity and participation in service activities required. Must demonstrate understanding of curricular trends / innovations in Classics; excellence in teaching; evidence of scholarly potential; and commitment to research. The salary is competitive with full benefits. Start date: August 2002.
