1Post-doctoral Fellowship in the Humanities. One-year fellowship for a specialist in Archaeology, Classics, or History of Art. Appointment as Lecturer at the rank of Assistant Professor; teach one course each semester. Applicants must have received the Ph.D. in 1997 or later; applications are especially encouraged from those who have been teaching three years or more. This fellowship offers the opportunity to complete a major publication using the resources of the Rhys Carpenter Library. The Department of Greek, Latin and Classical Studies announces a tenure-track opening in Latin literature at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, the appointment to be taken up in August 2002. The position will involve the teaching of Latin at all levels, undergraduate and graduate, in addition to courses in Greek, classical culture and society. Applications from those with special interests in art and material culture, social history or late antiquity will be especially welcome.
