The Department of Greek, Latin and Classical Studies invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position in Greek at the rank of beginning Assistant Professor to begin July 1, 2010. The appointment to be taken up in the academic year 2010-2011. PhD required. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a full range of undergraduate courses and graduate seminars in Greek (such as Homer, tragedy, lyric), to strengthening the Bryn Mawr/Haverford curriculum in Classical Culture and Society, and to contribute to the College's program of first-year seminars. At the graduate level s/he will also be responsible for supervising students preparing master’s and doctoral theses in Greek literature.
