The Department of Classics invites applications for a one-year, entry-level, temporary position at the rank of visiting assistant professor beginning August 2012. The department seeks a generalist philologist with an emphasis in Latin language and literature to teach a sequence of literature and civilization courses, Latin and Greek at all levels, and courses in the applicant's area of expertise (specific area of specialization is open). Bucknell has a 6 course/year teaching load for visiting positions. Teaching experience and completed Ph.D. by August 2012 preferred.
