Beginning August 2007, tenure-track entry-level assistant professor in the department of Classics. The department seeks a broadly trained classicist to teach a sequence of history and civilization courses, courses in the applicant's area of specialization, and contributions to departmental offerings in classical languages. Candidates with expertise in Roman history/literature or Hellenistic history and material culture are particularly encouraged to apply. Bucknell requires a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, including interest in contributing to a general liberal arts education, and evidence of scholarly promise.
