CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, LONG BEACH

The CWL & Classics Department invites applications for a temporary replacement position, a full-time lectureship effective January 24, 2006 to June 1, 2007. Minimum qualification include: ABD in Classics, teaching experience or potential in Latin and ancient Greek language as well as Classics courses in translation both on the literature and civilization. Duties include: teaching four courses per semester, participation in Eta Sigma Phi, instructing students in methods of secondary Latin teaching, interaction with southern California Classics community, engagement in research and scholarship for publication, participation in department, university and community service, mentoring and advising students.
