CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, CHICO – CHICO, CA

The History Department at California State University, Chico, invites applications for a temporary faculty pool in ancient history, beginning in fall 2013. Teaching duties include the first third of a world history survey, History 101: Ancient Civilizations, and two upper-division courses in ancient Greece and ancient Rome. Minimum qualifications: PhD or ABD in ancient history/classics with specialty in the history of ancient Greece and/or ancient Rome as well as some teaching experience. The salary will be commensurate with education and experience, ranging between $45,000 and $50,0000. The health insurance and retirement benefits within PERS are generous.
