CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY AT NORTHRIDGE - NORTHRIDGE, CA
The Art Department invites applications for a tenure track position at the level of assistant professor beginning 2003-4 academic year, with a dual emphasis on Art of the Ancient World and Instructional Technology. PhD in art history or related field in classics preferred; candidate will be considered if doctoral dissertation has been completed. Current scholarly activity desired; full time or substantial part time university teaching experience preferred. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory surveys and advanced courses in Greek, Roman and Ancient Near Eastern art. Ideal candidate will also possess a background in instructional technology with an ability to teach online courses. Knowledge of digital media including the production of digitalized images for classroom use and Web assisted instruction is important. Secondary emphasis in Medieval or Islamic art is also desirable. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to working with a racially, ethnically and culturally diverse student population.

The recruitment salary range is $43,632 to $55,008. Review of applications will begin November 15, 2002 and continue until the position is filled. Applications must include: 1.
