CARLETON COLLEGE – NORTHFIELD, MN

Carleton College invites applications for a one-year position in the Department of Classical Languages beginning September 1, 2013. We are seeking an entry-level teacher/scholar with broad interests in all aspects of Classical antiquity. Ph.D. or its imminent completion is required. Responsibilities include teaching Latin and Greek at all levels, as well as courses in translation. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching interests in any one of the following: ancient religion, philosophy, archaeology, or material culture. This will be a full year appointment, eligible for benefits. The teaching load is expected to be 5 courses spread over Carleton's 3 teaching terms.
