The department of Classics at Case Western Reserve University invites applications for a full time Lecturer in Classics for the academic year 2005-6. Candidates must to be prepared to teach Greek, Latin and civilization courses. The teaching load will be three courses per semester. The Classics Department of Case Western Reserve University invites applications for one or more tenure-track appointments. We prefer to appoint at the rank of assistant professor but will consider any rank. The field of research specialization is open. We have teaching needs in Greek language and literature, ancient history and SAGES, the university's core undergraduate curriculum (http://www.case.edu/sages/). The successful candidate will hold the Ph.D. or equivalent and have, relative to career stage, a promising or distinguished record of research and teaching (as well as university service for senior appointments.) Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications.
