Christendom College– Front Royal, VA
The Department of Classical and Early Christian Studies at Christendom College announces the opening of a full-time position in its expanding program to begin August 15, 2008. Applicants at all academic ranks will be considered.

A successful candidate should have his Ph.D. and be a Classics generalist able to teach Greek and Latin at all undergraduate levels. Qualified ABD candidates will be considered; interest in teaching spoken Latin is desired.

The Department would also welcome a candidate with experience teaching late antique Latin and Greek as well as foundational knowledge of Biblical Hebrew.

Located seventy-five miles west of Washington, D.C., in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Christendom College is a small, coeducational liberal arts institution dedicated to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. The faculty ratify Christendom College's specifically Catholic character in their voluntary, public pronouncement of the Profession of Faith (the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed) and Oath of Fidelity, in accord with the Apostolic Constitution Ex Corde Ecclesiae.
