CHRISTENDOM COLLEGE – FRONT ROYAL, VA
The Department of Classical and Early Christian Studies at Christendom College announces the opening of a full-time position to begin August 15, 2007. Applicants at all academic ranks will be considered.

A successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in hand, although qualified ABD candidates will be considered, and be a Classics generalist able to teach Greek and Latin on all undergraduate levels. A commitment to Latin and Greek composition, as well as interest in teaching spoken Latin is desired.

The Department would welcome a candidate with experience teaching Koine Greek and ecclesiastical Latin, as well as one who possesses a foundational knowledge of Biblical Hebrew.

Located seventy-five miles west of Washington, D.C., in the Blue Ridge Mountains' foothills, Christendom College is a small coeducational liberal arts institution dedicated to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. As a positive expression of Christendom College's specifically Catholic character, and in accord with the desire of the Hole See expressed in the Apostolic Constitution Ex Corde Ecclesia, faculty members voluntarily declare the Profession of Faith (the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed) and Oath of Fidelity publicly.
