Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Archaeology-Anthropology at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The position will be available July 2005. The successful candidate will be expected to teach, generate and maintain an active archaeological field program in the region and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with persons of diverse community groups. The preferred candidate will have a Ph.D., possess field based research skills demonstrated by publications and have experience in the Southeastern United States.

Coastal Carolina University is a growing, state-supported liberal arts institution where the emphasis is on undergraduate education, and growing importance is placed on faculty mentored student research projects and public services. Coastal Carolina University is located approximately nine miles from Myrtle Beach, SC, and enrolls more than 7,000 students.
