COASTAL CAROLINA UNIVERSITY – CONWAY, SC
The Department of History at Coastal Carolina University seeks candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning Fall, 2007.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach regular surveys in World History to 1500 or Western Civilization to 1648, periodic offerings in the Ancient Mediterranean, and upper level courses in the area of the candidate's expertise. An established record of teaching experience and scholarly activity is desirable; the teaching load for the first year is 3 / 4. An earned Ph.D. is required.

Coastal Carolina University is located approximately nine miles from Myrtle Beach, SC, and enrolls more than 7,600 students.
