COLBY COLLEGE – WATERVILLE, ME

The Department of Classics at Colby College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position to begin on September 1, 2013. The Department seeks a generalist who can teach courses in the ancient languages, archaeology, and either rhetoric or reception (or both), one of which will be taught as a writing-intensive class. Applicants should have completed the Ph.D. by the time of appointment, and should provide evidence of excellence in teaching and potential for scholarly achievement.
