COLGATE UNIVERSITY – HAMILTON, NY
The Department of the Classics is authorized to make a one-year appointment at the level of Visiting Assistant Professor to begin July 2008. The successful candidate will be expected to bring philological expertise to a department that not only places high emphasis upon the teaching of Greek and Latin, but also plays a major role across the curriculum in courses taught in translation. The department seeks candidates with training and experience in the teaching of Latin and Greek at all levels, preferably with a research interest in Latin literature. An equal commitment to teaching undergraduates and to research is expected. The teaching load is equivalent to five courses per year.
