COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON --CHARLESTON, SC (Two Positions)
The Classics Program at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina, is seeking to fill two positions for the 2005-2006 academic year.

POSITION ONE: Greek Historian to fill a one-year visiting assistant professor position. Courses will include Ancient History and Civilization as well as Ancient Greek and Latin language. The teaching load is 12 credit hours each semester. Teaching experience required; Ph.D. preferred. Competitive salary plus benefits.

POSITION TWO: Latinist to fill a full-time adjunct instructor position. Courses will include Latin at the introductory and advanced levels and Roman Civilization. The teaching load is 12 credit hours each semester. Candidates must have at least a master's degree; Ph.D. or ABD preferred. The salary is $35,000-$37,000 depending on credentials and experience. Faculty with adjunct contracts do not receive medical, retirement or other supplementary benefits from the College. This position has the possibility of renewal depending upon need and performance.
