Assistant Professor of Classical Studies, approved tenure track, to begin Fall 2004. Latin and Greek languages and literature. Responsibilities include teaching Latin and Greek languages and literature at all levels, and occasional offerings in mythology. Teaching of a Freshman Seminar in Liberal Learning would also be possible. The successful candidate will be an engaging, inspiring teacher and scholar who will contribute to the active growth of our interdisciplinary Classical Studies program. Salary competitive. Ph.D. must be completed by time of appointment. Applicants should have teaching experience and demonstrated strength in scholarly research and publications. The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) is a highly selective, comprehensive state institution located on a 289 acre campus eight miles southwest of Princeton and about an hour by train or car from Philadelphia and New York.
