Assistant Professor of Classical Studies, approved tenure track, to begin Fall 2005. Latin and Greek languages and literature. Responsibilities include teaching Latin and Greek languages and literature at all levels, and occasional offerings in mythology. Primary area of scholarly research should be literature or linguistics. The successful candidate will be an engaging, inspiring teacher and scholar who will contribute to the active growth of our interdisciplinary Classical Studies program. A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity is expected. Ph.D. must be completed by time of appointment. Applicants should have teaching experience and demonstrated strength in scholarly research and publications. Salary is competitive. The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) is a highly selective, comprehensive state institution located eight miles southwest of Princeton and about an hour by train or car from Philadelphia and New York.
