Definite Opening. The Department of Classical Studies at the College of William and Mary invites applicants to submit material for an entry-level, tenure-track, assistant professor, specializing in ancient history, to begin in the Fall of 2000. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in hand, show evidence of good teaching, as well as showing promise of a distinguished career as a scholar. He/She must be able to teach Greek and/or Latin at all levels, in addition to a range of general classics courses. All full-time members of the Department regularly teach three courses per semester.
