Classical Studies – The College of Wooster invites applications for a definite, full-time, tenure-track position in the Department of Classical Studies beginning Fall Semester 2008. Rank open. We seek a generalist with expertise in Latin language and literature. The successful candidate will be able to teach Greek and Latin at all levels as well as civilization courses in translation. Area of specialization is open, but preference will be given to candidates with experience and expertise in material culture and ancient history and a well-defined research agenda. Must be willing to supervise students in Wooster's signature program of Independent Study and to participate in the College's interdisciplinary programs, including First-Year Seminar and the Program in Writing.
