The College of Wooster invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in the Department of Classical Studies beginning Fall Semester 2007. We seek a generalist with expertise in Greek language and literature. The successful candidate will be able to teach Greek and Latin at all levels as well as civilization courses in translation. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in interdisciplinary teaching (Archaeology, Comparative Literature, Women's Studies) and a well-defined research agenda. Must be willing to supervise students in Wooster's signature program of Independent Study and to participate in the College's interdisciplinary programs, including First-Year Seminar, and the Program in Writing. Ph.D. expected by August 20, 2007.
