COLLEGIATE SCHOOL – NEW YORK, NY

The Language Department has a full-time opening for an experienced and versatile teacher to teach classical languages in a program known for its rigorous analytical and grammatical approach. The teaching assignment will include both introductory 8th grade Latin and an array of upper school classes, including the possibility of Greek. We seek candidates who have the background and ability to teach ambitious and talented boys in a program known for inspiring and preparing its students to pursue classical languages in college and beyond. A graduate degree is required; a PhD is preferred.

Collegiate School is a K-12 boys school of 630 students located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Founded in 1628, it has maintained a reputation of excellence in boys education and is particularly known for the strength of its academic programs, for the warmth of its community, and for the loyalty of its students and alumni. Throughout the school, we seek teachers who are knowledgeable in their disciplines, passionate about teaching, and eager to help students become independent adults and responsible leaders.
