CREIGHTON UNIVERSITY - OMAHA, NE (Two Positions)
The Department of Classical and Near Eastern Studies at Creighton University has been authorized to invite applications for two positions, both to begin in August, 2001: 1) a definite tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor; and 2) a possible one-year leave replacement position (pending final budgetary approval) at the rank of visiting assistant professor. Candidates should be effective, energetic teachers who are committed to undergraduate education and capable of teaching Greek and Latin at all levels, classical civilization courses, and humanities offerings in Creighton's core curriculum. Candidates should also be proven or promising scholars with a demonstrated research agenda and interests which complement those of existing departmental faculty. Preference will be given to candidates with completed Ph.D.'s. Creighton is a comprehensive, Jesuit, Catholic university which seeks candidates able to contribute to its distinctive institutional mission and traditions.
