The Department of Classics invites applications for a three-year appointment at the visiting assistant professor level, beginning August 2007. We are looking for a specialist in any area of Roman studies who is excited about teaching all levels of Latin as well as courses in translation. The ability to teach a survey course in Roman history or Roman art and architecture is desirable. We prefer prior teaching experience and a Ph.D. Davidson's teaching load is five courses per year.
