The Department of Classics invites applications for a visiting Assistant Professor for a three-year term, non-tenure-track position, beginning in Sept. 2010, pending budget approval. We are looking for a generalist, preferably with Ph.D. in hand, who is able to teach Latin and, just as importantly, courses that contribute to the broader College curriculum, such as a College Seminar for first-year students. Our greatest needs are literature in translation, social history, and interdisciplinary courses. The course load is 3-3.
