Earlham College invites applications and nominations for a possible one-year full-time terminal position for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Classics, beginning in September 2001. The position requires teaching three or four undergraduate Classics courses, including language courses in both Greek and Latin. Specialization in some of the following fields is desirable: Greek Philosophy, Gender Studies, mythology, Latin poetry, Greek drama, Ancient Mediterranean History. The position also requires two courses in the College's first-year Humanities Program. Candidates should have the Ph.D. by the time of employment.
