Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures Chair and Professor –Applications and nominations are invited for Chair of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, East Carolina University. Appointment will be at the level of Professor with permanent tenure, beginning on or before August 1, 2005. Qualifications for the position include an earned Ph.D. or equivalent in a language field offered in the department, demonstrated administrative experience, a record of teaching, researching, and service sufficient to be awarded tenure. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in research-extensive institutions and demonstrated leadership experience working in a multi-language department.
