History. Elon University invites applications from historians of Europe and the Mediterranean World (pre-1660) for a full-time continuing position at the Assistant Professor level beginning in mid-August 2004. Preference will be given to candidates with specialties in Ancient Mediterranean or Ancient Near Eastern history and a secondary field in Medieval European history. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in hand by August 2004. Applicants must also be willing to teach in the interdisciplinary general studies program.
