The Department of Classical and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at The George Washington University seeks a classicist for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor.

Basic Qualifications: Applicants must have a PhD in classics or a related field, teaching excellence as demonstrated by course evaluation summaries, potential for a strong record of scholarly publication as demonstrated by publications or works in progress, and be able to teach ancient Greek language at all levels, as well as courses on classical literature in translation, classical mythology, and material culture/history.
