The Department of Classics at Georgetown University invites applications for a one-year, sabbatical replacement position in Greek language and literature. The department seeks to hire a candidate who will contribute to a thriving undergraduate and post-baccalureate program in Classics. Responsibilities include courses in Greek language and literature at all levels. The course load will be 3-3, and the successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in hand by July 1, 2011. Applications should consist of a CV, a cover letter that explains teaching experience and scholarly interests, letters of recommendation, and a short (max. 20 pgs.) writing sample.
