GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY – WASHINGTON, DC

The Department of Classics at Georgetown University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in Greek and Latin literature and philology. The successful candidate will demonstrate scholarly energy and ability, as well as the potential for pedagogical excellence. Teaching load is 2 courses per semester; the candidate is expected to teach classes in Greek and Latin at all levels, and literature courses in translation. The successful candidate will join a thriving department, committed both to research and the teaching and mentoring of its undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students. PhD must be in hand by the time of taking up the appointment.
