GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY – WASHINGTON, DC
The Georgetown University Department of Classics invites applications for a one-year position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor for the 2008-2009 academic year. The teaching load will be three courses per semester. We seek candidates able to teach Latin and Greek at all undergraduate levels; ability to teach Roman history is also desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to have the Ph.D. in hand when he or she takes up the position. The teaching load will be two courses per semester. We seek candidates with a research specialization in any area of Roman studies, especially (but not limited to) history, epigraphy, or archaeology. Applicants must be able to teach Latin at all levels. The successful candidate will be expected to have the Ph.D. in hand when he or she takes up the position.
