Director of the Language Resource Center -- Gettysburg College announces a search for the Director of the Language Resource Center (LRC). We seek a creative and competent person who will work effectively with students and faculty to get the most from a new, state-of-the-art facility with a dynamic, exemplary program. This appointment will carry the title Lecturer or other appropriate faculty rank and status. Responsibilities include: directing the operations of the LRC, training faculty in instructional technology, and working with faculty to develop computer-based instructional materials. Teaching assignments will not exceed two courses per year, plus demonstration teaching. Required qualifications: an M.A. or Ph.D. in a language or related field; background in second language acquisition and instructional technology; demonstrated ability to teach effectively, either in teaching a language at the college level or in training faculty or other professionals; and deep knowledge of contemporary instructional technology and software pertinent to language instruction, including the preparation of multi-media and Web-based materials.

Expected start date is August 2005.
