Gustavus Adolphus College invites nominations and applications for a one-year position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Classics to begin September 1, 2004. All specializations will be considered. This is a leave replacement position which has administrative approval.
We seek candidates who have an earned degree by August 1, 2004 (ABD will be considered); exhibit evidence of excellence in teaching all levels of Latin and Greek at the undergraduate level, as well as courses in translation; willingness to contribute enthusiastically to the four-member Classics Department's thriving beginning language program; promise of scholarly activity; and interest in participating in the academic life of a liberal arts college.
