The Department of Classics at Hamilton College invites applications for a one-year replacement position, at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning in August 2001. Hamilton is a distinguished liberal arts college with very competitive salaries and a teaching load of five courses per year. Applicants should have the Ph.D. in hand or be in the final stages of writing the dissertation. Since college teaching experience is desirable, current assistant professors are also encouraged to apply. Applicants should be prepared to teach Greek, Latin, and Classical Studies.
