The Department of the Classics at Harvard University seeks to appoint a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Greek History. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2011. Candidates are expected to have a promising record of research on any period of Greek history from the archaic age to late antiquity, and broad interest in teaching the history of the Greek world at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. A strong doctoral record is a requirement. Harvard University is able to offer an attractive package of salary and benefits, including research support.
