HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY – HEMPSTEAD, NY
The Department of Comparative Literature and Languages at Hofstra University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor of Classics and Comparative Literature, starting September 2008. A successful candidate must be able to teach Greek and Latin languages at all levels as well as courses in classical literature in translation. Preference will be given to candidates specialized in Greek and with Ph.D. in hand. Evidence of excellence in teaching and commitment to research are required, and a strong comparative approach to literature is desirable.
