The Department of Classics at Hollins University invites applications for a 1-year sabbatical leave position at assistant professor rank beginning in the Fall of 2006. Hollins University is an all-women's liberal arts institution, with select co-ed graduate programs, located in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia in a burgeoning metropolitan area. The position is for a general classicist with ability to teach both Greek and Latin. The load will be six courses in Greek, Latin, and Classics, and include the opportunity to create an undergraduate Classics course on a topic in your specialty. PhD in hand and college teaching experience is preferred. Women/minorities are encouraged to apply.
