HOPE COLLEGE – HOLLAND, MI
Hope College seeks to fill a three-year term in classics, beginning Fall 2010. The successful candidate should be able to offer courses in introductory and upper-level Latin and Greek. The successful candidate should also be prepared to offer classes in classical mythology, the ancient world (history, philosophy and literature), and possibly an introductory class aimed at a general student population. A commitment to building a strong program in classics is a necessity. We seek and support demonstrated commitment to scholarship, as well as clear enthusiasm for teaching undergraduates in both departmental and general education courses. Ph.D. in hand by August 2010 preferred. Teaching load: Twelve credits per semester. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
