The Department of Classics at Howard University invites applications for a one-year, non-tenure track position for AY 2002-2003. We seek a general Hellenist, with a PhD in classics in hand, to teach Greek Civilization, Classical Mythology, and a third, more general course called Ideas in Antiquity. A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and a demonstrated ability to teach ancient Greek at all levels is a definite plus. The Department of Classics at Howard University announces a full-time, non-renewable position for the Spring Semester of 2002. The successful candidate will be required to teach the following courses on a MWF schedule: (1) Greek Civilization, (2) a section of Classical Mythology, (3) Satire and Comedy, and possibly (4) Intermediate Greek.
