The Department of Classics at Howard University invites applications for a one-year, lecturer/instructor, full-time position (possibly renewable) for AY 2007-2008. We seek a candidate who is prepared to teach Greek Civilization as well as elementary and intermediate levels of both Greek and Latin. The candidate will also be expected to teach sections of Classical Mythology. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Classics in hand, be committed to undergraduate teaching, and demonstrate competence in research and publication appropriate to their experience.
