UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER HUMANITIES CENTER invites applications from tenure-track faculty (open rank) for its 2020-21 fellowships.
The center supports research in literature, history, the arts, cultures, and philosophies past and present. The theme for 2020-2021 is “Translation and Transformation.” Fellowship applicants should be involved in projects that address the theme, broadly understood.
The fellowship period is September 1, 2020 to May 15, 2021.
Fellows are expected to be in residence in Rochester and to attend a weekly seminar. They will receive a stipend up to $60,000 (commensurate with experience and need) and a fund for research and travel. This position is non-renewable.

Applicants should submit: a cover letter; a curriculum vitae; a research statement of no more than 1,000 words; a writing sample; and the names and email addresses of one to three professional references who can vouch for the applicant’s qualifications.
