Ancient History/Classics. One year sabbatical replacement, pending approval. Ph.D. preferred, ABD considered. Must possess a broad competence in ancient history with a specialization in Roman history and preferably the ability to teach in at least two of the following areas: Greece and the Near East, Roman art and archaeology and Late Antiquity. The position will be housed in the History Department but will also have substantial obligations in the Greek and Roman Studies Program. Teaching load is 6 courses per year to include 4 courses in ancient history and a two-semester introduction to Latin.
